ALICE
ALICENorth Sydney Swim School Manager

YOUR BACKGROUND/EDUCATION LEVEL IN SPORTS/SWIMMING/LEISURE:
I swam competitively in the UK until I was 14 years old, but now just enjoy it for fitness! I have been involved over in swim teaching, coaching and lifeguarding in the UK, USA and now Australia for the past 7 years, and really enjoy seeing progression and improvements of students of all ages and abilities. I love competition and a challenge and so have recently signed up to compete in my first Sprint Triathlon this September!

YOUR FAVOURITE THING/MEMORY ABOUT THE WATER/SWIMMING:
My most prominent memory of swimming was my first EVER gala, I was so nervous I nearly fell off the blocks! But on completing my first ever race I remember feeling so proud and overwhelmed that I just wanted to do it again and again.

WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT KIDS/SWIMMING/EDUCATION:
I am passionate about getting children into sport and physical activity as I believe it really helps them develop all key skills and creates a well-rounded individual. Swimming in particular I believe is an essential life skill and can be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable hobbies.

YOUR FAVOURITE PAST TIME:
I have so many hobbies and past-times! I love walking and exploring new places and often spend my weekends getting lost in and around Sydney.

FAVOURITE SONG:
I don’t have a favourite song, but I love a bit of 80’s pop!
